Statement from Bishop Eckman on the Mass Shooting in Minneapolis
We are devastated by the horrific violence that shattered what should have been a holy moment of grace at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, where children had gathered for a back-to-school Mass. We hold close in prayer the students, families, teachers, parish community, and first responders. We ask the Lord to bring healing to the injured, eternal rest to those who have died, and consolation to all who mourn.

Joy in the Journey: Consumer Mindset
    by Gary Fritsch
In the Gospel today, Jesus describes those attempting to enter as saying: “We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.” This was their definition of knowing Him. But knowing Jesus involves so much more. If we listen to His words, He is inciting us to action, to be a part of His mission. There is no ‘associate membership’ in the Church.

Especially in this Parish the familiar story of Martha and Mary has been told and heard over and over. It is easy for us to picture Martha bustling about taking care of the food and hospitality, like her life depended on it.

Life-Changing Journeys: Appalachian Mission Trip Testimonials
    by Madison McCay
Appalachia is not only fun but also fulfilling. I’ve never been around so many hard working people who not only love to help others but also have a very faithful relationship with God. Everyone has been so kind since the trip to Terra Alta and back. Not only has my relationship with God strengthened but so has my ability to work. I have learned how to build a deck and a roof in the matter of a week. Everyday they had some new thing for us to do. They were truly amazing. They had morning rosary and morning mass. They also had confession and adoration. Justin also lead a night rosary every night. We always had something to do, fishing, swimming, 4 square and etc.
