Seeking New Council Members

As we begin the process to rotate members off our Pastoral Council and welcome new members, we would like to thank the current council for their service and identify new members to support the work of Saints Martha and Mary Parish. Throughout the summer, we will be providing information, engaging in conversation, and entertaining questions to identify new members to join our Pastoral Council in this blessed work.

The Process to Identify New Council Members

A series of three bulletin inserts will help all parishioners understand the nature, role and function of the Pastoral Council. This is the first in that series.

A single information session will be offered twice, first on Saturday September 20 at 9:00 am at St. Richard and then on Wednesday October 1 at 7:00 pm at St. Catherine. These sessions are open to any parishioner who after prayerful reflection would like to know more as he or she discerns whether God might be calling them to this ministry. Interested parishioners are asked to attend one of two sessions offered.

One discernment session facilitated by members of current Pastoral Council will be held on Saturday October 18 at 9:00 am at St. Catherine for anyone who attended one of information sessions and who wants considered for service on Pastoral Council.

Father Bob will prayerfully consider results of session based upon that he will call discerned members join Pastoral Council November 19 meeting at 7:00 pm at St. Catherine.
