Our Mission
To provide instrumental support, through discipleship of the Lord, to the children of Centro Nutricional y Hogar de Niños de San Francisco
With the shortage of funds, the orphanage was on the verge of closing. This would have left nearly 100 children out on the streets, with nowhere to go. Through the grace of God, the mission group was able to raise enough money and awareness, through donations and fundraisers, for Centro Nutricional y Hogar de Niños (Nutrition Center and Children’s Home) to remain open and offer solace to the children, caretakers, and community. For over 20 years, we remain responsive to the ever-changing needs of the orphanage, continuing to raise, and send, money to support all the children living there, and the upkeep of the facility. We make a yearly trip to the orphanage, in Patzún, to provide additional, critical resources and fulfill physical, medical, and spiritual help in every way that we can.

How We Help
Though we are not able to be with them in-person every day, we work closely alongside the Franciscan Sisters of Immaculate Conception, who oversee the extraordinary care of the children and the orphanage. Funding is critical to respond to all the children’s needs and they cannot meet the financial demands of the Orphanage without our support. Our various fundraisers drive donations that benefit the health and wellness of the children, as well as sustainability of the orphanage and medical clinic. Throughout the year, we provide funding to the orphanage to buy nutritious food, basic medical supplies, medications, and other essentials; donated money is also used to maintain health regulations at the clinic and nutrition center.
In-kind donations such as clothing, toys, and supplies are packed, and blissfully transported, to the orphanage during our annual trip. These items, changing annually in response to the orphanage’s needs, are promoted and collected at the fundraising events leading up to our departure. So, stay tuned for next year’s indispensable list! Before departing, we partner with the Sisters to plan our daily work that will improve the safety and efficiency of the orphanage; while onsite, we help build small structures, paint, perform light infrastructure maintenance, assist with intake at the medical clinic, cook, and numerous other requested, vital tasks.
