Not everyone interested in coming to the Catholic Church is unbaptized. Sometimes they have been baptized in other Christian faith traditions. The Catholic Church recognizes those who are baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit as members of Christ’s body, the Church. The time spent in formation will depend on where they are in this journey. The outline below reflects the process for those who have not been previously catechized.
