If you are new to our parish, or inviting a guest, here are some things to keep in mind when planning your Christmas Worship with us. Each Mass on Christmas has its own character, we hope you will find a setting that will remind you of the very heart of Christmas: Jesus.
Christmas Eve 4:00 PM - St. Richard Children's choirs are the highlight of the celebratory music at this Mass and help make this our most popular Mass. It fills to overflowing - literally. We set up a 300-seat overflow area in the Social Hall with a 12-foot screen for audio and video from the Sanctuary. You can expect seats in the main church area to be filled by 3:45. If you're bringing a big group, or you know time will be tight, you can reserve seats in the OVERFLOW area here. So many people coming to welcome Our Lord will be a joyful, blessed start to your Christmas.
4:00 PM - St. Catherine Woodwinds and Brass are featured at this very festive and popular Mass. Like the 4 pm at St. Richard, it fills to overflowing - with a 250-seat overflow in Farmer Hall. A 12-foot video screen and audio from the Sanctuary extend the celebration to the whole building. You can expect seats in the main church area to be filled by 3:45. If you're bringing a big group, or you know time will be tight, you can reserve seats in the OVERFLOW area here. The 'joyful throng' will remind you of just how powerful a Christmas with Jesus at its center can be.
6:30 PM - St. Catherine This early evening Mass features our talented handbell choir, along with woodwinds and brass. While always a full house, we expect to fit everyone in the main church. A beautiful way to start your Christmas Eve celebrations.
10:00 PM - St. Richard This is a Christmas Choir delight, and those arriving by 9:30 are treated to beautiful and spirit-filled music from our fantastic Festival Choir accompanied by brass that will lead you into Mass in a way that is worthy of being the centerpiece of your Christmas Eve.
Midnight - St. Catherine The ultimate quiet, holy night experience. The Adult choir, along with woodwinds and brass, will start a meditative musical prelude at 11:30. The Lord is eager to fill your heart at this solemn hour, and so many people leave knowing that He has.
Christmas Day Over the years, more and more people have chosen to come to Mass on Christmas Eve, so we offer only two Masses on Christmas (as opposed to four on a normal Sunday).
9:15 - St. Catherine Our church will be full and joyful on Christmas morning, and we hope that you'll find this a beautiful time to visit for the first time or bring guests. It's a great representation of what people can find when they come to Saints Martha and Mary Parish.
10:00 - St. Richard The Christmas morning crowd always proves to be welcoming and joyous. It's a great representation of Saints Martha and Mary Parish and we hope you will consider joining us and bringing your guests.
