Saints Martha & Mary Parish seeks a faith-filled, organized, and collaborative individual committed to supporting children and families in their journey of faith through vibrant parish catechesis and sacramental preparation.
Summary: The Coordinator supports children’s faith formation and sacramental preparation programs by assisting with organization, communication, records, volunteers, and parish events.
Working closely with the Director of Faith Formation and Family Ministry, the Coordinator helps create welcoming, engaging, and well-organized programs for families, catechists, and parishioners while ensuring alignment with diocesan guidelines and Catholic teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate registration, attendance, records, and family communication. • Support sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. • Assist with retreats, liturgies, parent meetings, and special events. • Support catechists, volunteers, and classroom needs. • Maintain accurate records and ensure diocesan policy compliance. • Collaborate with parish staff, schools, families, and diocesan offices. • Assist with parish communications, including bulletins, newsletters, and digital media.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic in good standing and active in the sacramental life of the Church. • Minimum age 21; parish catechetical or ministry experience preferred. • Understanding of youth development and Catholic faith formation. • Degree in theology, catechetics, religious education, or related field preferred. • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace. • Compliance with diocesan Safe Environment requirements. Schedule: Monday–Friday, with reoccurring evenings and weekends required Reports to: Director of Faith Formation and Family Ministry
