Our beautiful Easter Season comes to a close today as we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, the birthday of the Church. We have fasted for 40 days during Lent and have feasted for the past 50 days during the Easter Season, and now we will return to Ordinary Time tomorrow.

Over the years, my family and I have done a lot of camping, which means building a lot of campfires. In order for the fire to be successful, you have to have substantial dry firewood, some kindling and some tinder – often paper.
