NGP: Engagement in Parish Life

As we mark the three-year anniversary of the Next Generation Parish initiative, we give thanks to God for the many graces already at work in our parish. One of our initiatives was to advance engagement opportunities within the parish life at Saints Martha & Mary Parish. Our completed goals are listed below:

• Survey conducted of Ministry Leaders to gather info regarding their ministries and where help was needed.

• The Saints Martha and Mary Ministry Directory was completed with assistance from the Team.

• Four Ministry Leader Workshops were conducted which included: ‘Creating a Parking Lot Pitch for your Ministry to invite participation; Workshopping challenges and blessings; Learning all of the methods and support that the Parish had to support and grow their ministries

• NGP Table hosted at the 2025 Lent Fish Fry to build awareness around NGP and the work that had been done.

• Ministry Communications Guide produced to help ministries understand how to:• Make use of Parish Social Media• Request Bulletin Ads• Host a Donut Sunday• Request Digital Signage help• Promote and recruit for their ministry• How to request to give a witness at Sunday Mass

• Invitation Cards were used in the pews for The SEARCH and other key Parish events, with strong success. Over a third of all SEARCH attendees were invited to participate by someone else.
